Vice Principal
It is an honor to join Dover Middle School as Vice Principal in the 2024-2025 school year. I believe two core tenets are necessary in a successful learning environment: student safety and profound student engagement. I commit myself to ensuring that our students feel respected and safe in our school, and that they maintain strong engagement in their curricular studies and any extracurricular activities in which they choose to participate. The quality and hard work of our faculty, and the development and implementation of our curricula and programming, are central aspects of what allows Dover Middle School to maintain its strong reputation of quality and excellence.
As an experienced educator of over 16 years, I have taught various levels of middle and high school English, including 7th Grade, 8th Grade G&T, English 9 through 12 (all levels), AP Research, and AP Literature. I have spent years developing my skills as an educator, writing curricula and advising extracurricular activities, including my cherished years between 2015 and 2021 as a teacher in the Dover Public School District.
Throughout my educational career, I have never stopped learning. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in English Secondary Education from TCNJ, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from TCNJ, and a post Master’s K-12 Administrative Certification from Caldwell University. I am now working toward a D.Litt degree from Drew University’s Caspersen School. In years past, I have also enjoyed non-matriculated summer courses with esteemed professors from Harvard and the University of Texas at Austin through our Dover Professional Development partnerships.
Each day, we, as educational professionals, strive to engage and encourage our students so that they may realize their aspirations and achieve their goals. I look forward to fostering strong relationships with the Dover community and our families this year and in the years to come.
Sincerely,
Laura Krystyniak
Vice Principal
