Welcome to the Dover Public Schools' 21st Century Skills Department. Under the guidance of our experienced educators, we are dedicated to preparing students for success across various fields and vocations, using a hands-on approach to learning that embraces the challenges and opportunities of the modern world.

Our Mission 
Our mission is to provide a dynamic learning environment that fosters essential skills for the 21st century. We offer a diverse range of courses, including Robotics, Computer Programming, Marketing, Foods and Nutrition, Child Care, Business Law, Final Cut Pro Video Development, and Personal Finance. Our goal is to develop students' critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for successful futures in college, careers, and as citizens in a global community.

Our Goals

• Equip students with practical skills through diverse industrial experiences, nurturing lifelong learning across various vocations.
• Prepare students for an evolving global community through practical courses that enhance industrial skills and future job preparation
• Develop a comprehensive education in 21st Century Skills, enabling students to explore and pursue their interests in STEM, business, technology, and culinary arts fields

Recent Successes and Projects

• The Dover High School Robotics Team has achieved notable success in various state competitions spanning regional events at Mount Olive, Warren Hills, Montgomery, and Bridgewater
• Our Final Cut Pro students won first place at the 38th Annual NJECC Statewide Educational Technology Conference for their documentary on "The Era of A.I."
• Full renovations of our Foods and Nutrition kitchen classroom, through a partnership with the Home Depot, to fully immerse students in culinary arts skills
• New courses and initiatives have been launched:
  • AP Computer Science Principles
  • Electricity & Circuits
  • Expanded business course opportunities such as Introduction to Business, Entrepreneurship, Social Media Marketing and Communications, and Accounting

Noteworthy Contributions and Partnerships

• We offer Advanced Placement courses in Computer Science, equipping students with high-level computing skills.
• Our teachers bring real-world industry, multiple certification credentials, and university level experience into the classroom
